About the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)
The District partners with its sister agency, the local USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in a grassroots led conservation effort with Farm Bill programs such as: the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP), and the Urban High Tunnel Initiative. Together, our District Conservationist and team of board members decide and rank the resource concerns for the programs each year.

If you have general questions about NRCS and the programs offered, feel free to reach out to the District. We can help evaluate your potential needs and coordinate with NRCS officials to schedule and in-office and/or site visit to your farm or land.
Let us help walk you through the steps of the program application process and to the practice installation! Conservation practices will benefit you, your family, your community, and the land for years to come.
